Peter Jackson and Michael Jackson acknowledged by CAANZ
09 Aug 2016

2016 sees two of the principals at PKF Carr & Stanton acknowledged by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand for their service to the Hawke’s Bay business community.
Peter Jackson has been a member of CAANZ for 50 years and son Michael Jackson, who is currently the Managing Director, recognised for 25 years membership. During that time they have seen the way that business is conducted change dramatically but their key values of integrity, family values, a solid commitment to their clients and maintaining access to high quality expertise via international networks has been fostered consistently. You will see these values alive and communicated openly when you visit our office.
With PKF Carr & Stanton having provided accountancy and business advisory services to the wider Hawke’s Bay community for more than 80 years, it is no surprise that many of the current clients are second and third generation business owners who have built and grown significant businesses and farming operations across the region.
Working closely with a supportive network of local bankers, lawyers and insurers, PKF Carr & Stanton support many local clients with business interests across the globe, and both Peter and Michael have been instrumental in many business acquisitions and sales.
Increasingly accountants have become more specialist with Peter having advised clients across farming, commerce, medical and retail businesses in his career. With the added complexity required in modern business, Michael has developed a strong expertise within the commercial, service and retail sectors with fellow director Campbell Brenton-Rule leading the work across the rural client base.
“The most rewarding aspect of my career has been building strong professional friendships with many local business people,” says Peter “and then working with their wider family as part of the succession and family asset planning as the batten is passed across the generations. Not only do you balance the best decisions for the business at the time, but you have the satisfaction of knowing how the family dynamic changes and can assist all the parties to appreciate how this affects us all.”
“I have been heavily involved in a number of large business acquisitions and sales as Hawke’s Bay entrepreneurs look to purchase businesses both domestically and in Australia,” says Michael “and it has been rewarding to support successful local people to succeed on the world stage. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to contribute directly to their achievements.”
While Peter still has a supporting role at the firm between travelling adventures, Michael and Campbell are busy growing the practice and assisting clients to reach their dreams.
The PKF Carr & Stanton team congratulate both Peter and Michael on achieving their respective milestones.
