Client Success Story – Patrick Crawshaw
It’s incredibly inspiring to see the calibre of next generation farmers who are making a name for themselves in Hawke’s Bay.
Congratulations to Patrick Crawshaw who recently won the FMG Young Farmer of the Year – East Coast.
We also recognise Mark Wallace (last year’s winner) who came second this year, by a quarter of a point, in a fiercely contested competition.
It’s fair to say that Patrick’s build up to this competition was anything but ordinary! Prior to competing at this event, Patrick’s Patoka beef and lamb farm was devastatingly impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle.
Like many farms, it will take some time to repair the damage and recover from this extraordinary weather event. It’s been a challenging time for many with power outages and limited access into Napier and Hastings. Along with others, Patrick and Isabelle Crawshaw have been helping out in their community wherever they can.
We think all of this makes Patrick’s win even more special and we wish him all the best in July when he heads to Timaru for the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final.
Good luck Patrick and we look forward to hearing how you get on!
